West Aceh’s capital city is the charming port town of Meulaboh. The coast of Sumatra has some of the most beautiful scenery, where rugged mountains meet the tree-lined coastal plain. The city has both adequate and excellent tourism facilities and the north of Meulobah has several ocean side guest houses along the white sandy beaches. Activities include boating, fishing, and rain forest trekking and cultural exploration among indigenous people.
